Queve Eco Lodge , Angola

This site was situated next to a river between beautiful granite mountains. To maximise the natural surroundings the buildings were orientated to not open up towards each other so that only nature is seen and experienced, no matter where you are. Suspended walkways link the building in a way not to disturb or divide the natural. Materials were locally sourced and the lodge grows from out of the ground and moves around landmarks such as large trees and boulders. The architecture is not imposing and seeks to blend and fade into the awesome African bush.
